Judi Bradford Designs
Hats
Judi Bradford designs flirty, dramatic and sophisticated hats that are feminine with a “Noir” base. They have a vintage look with sultry, smoldering undertones.

It’s a combination of the sophistication of an experienced woman and the brash and sassy attitudes of youth.

Her hats are one-of-a-kind, handmade confections rich in luxurious fabrics, cutting edge surface treatments and individual adornments.

The feathers she uses are gently collected – many from birds she knows.  “I am on a first-name basis with most of my feather donors,” she says.

Bradford traveled to England in 2013 to study with three prominent British milliners.  Since then her work has been juried into many prestigious shows:  American Craft Council,  American Craft Enterprises, American Craft Festival at Lincoln Center, Spoleto Festival at Charleston, SC , the Endangered Show during Art Basel in Miami.

She has sold over 800 hats on the tiny island of Key West, many through trunk and studio shows at The Studios of Key West, Vinos on Duval Wine Bar and other locations.

“A woman in a hat heightens the mood of the entire room,” says Judi.  “So you are doing everyone around you a favor when you wear one.”
